You don’t need to be a pro to love your voice.
Maybe you’ve been told you can’t sing. Maybe life just got busy. Maybe you’re ready to stop holding back.
At Chorus Studio, we help people connect with their voices through professional vocal coaching and a warm, inclusive community. Whether you’re just starting out or returning after years away, you’ll find a supportive, judgment-free space to grow, sing, and belong.
BIPOC-led. Queer-friendly.
Built for joy, not perfection.
"The best musical experience of my life. Music heals your soul and this place is a musical sanctuary."
Carlos M.
Chorus Studio respectfully acknowledges that we rehearse, perform, and serve our community on the unceded and ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples, in what is commonly known as Vancouver, BC. As settlers, we recognize our responsibility to learn from and stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities, and we are committed to fostering a culture of respect, equity, and ongoing reconciliation.
We are committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion, racial equity, and the affirmation of diverse identities — fostering a musical space where all people are respected and welcomed.

Programs for a Complete Singer
Adult Pop Choirs in Vancouver
Sing your heart out in a supportive, no-audition choral program for adults.
Our adult pop choirs in Vancouver combine vocal training, harmony, and performance coaching with community. You'll learn pop, rock, R&B, soul, and musical theatre repertoire in a structured program led by music educators.
Each term ends with a live concert (backed by a pro band!) that raises money for local charities. We've over $100,000 so far.
Voice Lessons
(In-Person / Online)
Most studios just teach technique. We go further.
Our signature method, The Connection Method, combines vocal technique, stylistic development, and performance coaching to form whole singers.
For 20+ years, it’s helped hundreds of singers — from nervous beginners to seasoned pros — find their voice and thrive onstage.
Performance &
Community Events
Perform live in a supportive space.
From choir concerts to cozy open mic and karaoke nights, we offer fun, judgement-free, and welcoming ways to get on stage in Vancouver.
Our student recitals are a community favourite, with singers backed by live musicians.
Whether you’re brand new or experienced, you’ll find performance opportunities that build confidence, connection, and joy.
Singing Workshops
& Masterclasses
Level up your singing with expert-led workshops.
From vocal technique to performance skills, our sessions dive deep into specific topics to help you grow faster and sing smarter.
Taught by experienced pros in a supportive and inclusive environment. Workshops are practical and skills-based, perfect for beginners and pros alike.
What Makes Us Different
No Elitism.
No Intimidation.
We take music seriously, but never ourselves. Whether you’re learning to sing for the first time or you’ve been on stages your whole life, you’ll find a space that’s welcoming, low-pressure, and genuinely fun.
No auditions. No intimidation. And definitely no side-eye if you sing a little off-key.
Singing for a Cause
We’re not just about music; we’re about impact. Every choir term ends with a concert that raises money for local charities like the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre and BC Crisis Centre.
Students vote on where the donations go each season. So far, we’ve raised over $100,000 through song.
Joy is the Point
We teach solid technique, but we don’t believe in perfectionism. Singing here is about learning, expression, and joy — not proving anything.
As we like to say, "no provin’, just groovin’." It’s on the merch for a reason.
Professional
Voice Teachers
Learn from experienced vocal coaches trained in The Connection Method, a proven educational approach developed by founder Rebecca Lam Kania, Vancouver’s go-to voice coach for pro singers for over 20 years.
From first-timers to touring artists, our teachers help hundreds of students build strong, expressive, and resilient voices.
Led By
Women of Colour
Our studio is led by women of colour and rooted in equity.
We gently challenge the norms of traditional music spaces in Vancouver, creating a culture that’s inclusive, joyful, and community-first.
Original Choral Arrangements
Every song we teach is custom-arranged by our talented directors.
From Beyoncé to Broadway, PJ Morton to MUSE, we don’t use off-the-shelf charts. We make our own.
That means the music fits your voice, not the other way around. On the street, they say we're "not your grandma's choir." (Literally, someone said this on the street after a show.)
Connection
That Lasts
Many of our students come for the singing and walk out with new friends, creative courage, and a choir of people in their corner.
At minimum, we’ll make your weeknight better but don’t be surprised if you end up with a lifelong pal (or ten).
Built on Service
& Stewardship
Our music directors aren’t here for power; they’re here for people. Their role is to teach, guide, and serve the community with integrity, creativity, and care.
Every singer, no matter their experience, is encouraged to learn with curiosity, respect, and a beginner’s mind.
What Our Singers Say
"I was so nervous to join this choir and now, it’s seriously the highlight of my week! Rehearsals are full of laughter, connection, and no pretension. I come out of class feeling like a new person, even after a heavy day."
Rhiannon P.
"I’ve learned so much about my voice and how to use it, and I felt supported and encouraged the whole time. The music directors and teachers here are incredible."
Mark C.
"I didn’t think I needed a community, but I’ve found one and the whole process felt easy. They're so organized here. Chorus Studio has undeniably made my life better."
Christina F.
"Singers’ Circle helped me build real confidence — not by pushing, but by allowing me to sing in a space where I felt safe. I've taken voice lessons and singing workshops in Vancouver for over a decade and I've learned the most and felt the safest in this studio."
Vincent C.
"My teen used to be pretty shy about singing, and now she looks forward to her lessons every week. Her teacher knows how to push her just enough, and I’ve seen her confidence grow in music and in herself. They're so encouraging here, in a genuine way."
Leila M.
"I sang in choirs all through school but life took over and I stopped singing. I joined to get music back in my life, but I got a lot more. Rehearsals are relaxed, fun, and surprisingly meaningful. I actually look forward to Mondays now!"
Jamie L.
